The Scenario #
It is a strong desire in many churches to get people within the congregation into small groups. It is also a strong desire among churches to help people feel welcome and connected. This scenario involves a church that wants everyone who isn’t in a Bible Study to be welcomed and in contact with a Bible Study leader. In this way, the Bible Study leaders are doubling as a welcome team. They welcome people into the church with a phone call and stay in contact with them.
The Challenge #
We want everyone assigned a Bible Study leader who will contact new people. We want to do this with minimal administrative work and we don’t want any duplicates. That is we don’t want anyone contacted by more than one Bible Study leader. This will give everyone who visits the church personal contact and while giving Bible Study leaders a group of contacts who can possibly join the Bible Study in the future.
